Join Food Allergy Fund's #ThisIsNuts Challenge
July 3, 2024 — The Food Allergy Fund is bringing back their successful #thisisnuts challenge on July 4th to raise awareness about food allergies and the need for research.
Share your upside-down photos and videos to help us turn allergies upside down!
Food allergies are not just a health issue; they are an urgent crisis affecting 33 million Americans. That's two kids in every classroom and one in ten adults. Every three minutes, someone goes to the ER due to an allergic reaction. Despite this, research is severely underfunded. These statistics are nuts! Your support can help fund crucial scientific research for better treatments.
Imagine the impact if every person in the United States with food allergies donated just $5 to research. We could raise a staggering $165 million! With friends and family joining in, we could make an even bigger impact. Your participation, no matter how small, can help turn food allergies on their head. Let's use social media and our collective strength to combat this epidemic!
Please join the challenge by donating and sharing your upside-down photo on your social media pages.
HOW TO JOIN THE JULY 4TH CHALLENGE?
1. Visit foodallergyfund.org to donate. The Food Allergy Fund will use 100% of public donations for scientific research.
2. Take a photo or video of you, your kids, friends, or pets doing something upside down—headstands, cartwheels, flips, anything! Solo or group shots, the funnier, the better. Get creative and have fun!
3. Upload your photo to Facebook, LinkedIn, Twitter, and Instagram and add #thisisnuts. Share your food allergy story, tag @foodallergyfund, and include #TBT and #foodallergies.
SAMPLE LANGUAGE: I'm joining the @foodallergyfund #thisisnuts challenge to turn #foodallergies on their head. Allergies send someone to the emergency room every three minutes. I donated to FAF and nominate [tag friends] to join the challenge. http://bit.ly/2Yd0G8b
