Food Allergy Fund Research Week Launches in April to Advance Life-Saving Solutions

New York, NY (February 27, 2025) – With food allergies affecting 33 million Americans and causing a life-threatening reaction every three minutes, the Food Allergy Fund (FAF) is launching its inaugural Food Allergy Research Week from April 28-30 in New York City to drive support and accelerate breakthroughs in prevention and treatment ahead of Food Allergy Awareness Month, which begins May 1.

“Food allergies are a growing public health crisis and a chronic disease, and scientific research is key to transforming lives and preventing future cases,” said Ilana Golant, founder and CEO of FAF. “Significant progress has been made over the past decade, and we’re on the brink of breakthrough discoveries into the underlying causes, prevention and improved treatments. Food Allergy Fund Research Week is essential for building public support and partnerships to accelerate progress.”

During Food Allergy Fund Research Week, FAF will exclusively host:

Attendees will have the opportunity to learn from and network with speakers on the latest advancements in research, diet diversity, the microbiome, and cutting-edge technologies like AI and CRISPR.
